Last year, I ran a one-shot for Mutants and Masterminds 3E for my D&D group on a night when some of the players were going to miss. I used the opening scene from the Gangbusters! adventure for ICONS as the setting. (It was a failed bank robbery with hostages). My group decided on Wasp, Spider-Man, and Captain America as the heroes.
When I was creating this one-shot (more than a year before I actually got to play it), I wasn’t sure how many players I would have or who the characters would want to be. So I went and created most of the X-Men and the Avengers, all at 150PP. While this made some of the heroes a little weaker than they usually are (Hulk, Thor), it made all of the heroes equal.
Some of the characters will have multiple sheets. Giant-Man and Wasp have two sheets, one for normal size and the other for size-changed. There is Bruce Banner, Hulk, and Hulk Unleashed for a single player. I made Bruce since I figured the player might want to use him at the beginning of the adventure. (Getting to use the “I am always angry” line or something similar during the game).
Below are the pdf files of all of the characters that I created for the game:
If you use any of these characters in your game, please let me know how they work out. I have only seen Wasp, Spider-Man, and Captain America in action and they seemed to work in the couple hours that we played.
I might try to run an online game of Mutants and Masterminds 3E. If I do, I would use these characters for that game since I have them in HeroLab already and everything is ready to go.
Keep on gaming!
