Happy Tuesday, and welcome back to Tabletop Thoughts!

I just released a new YouTube video, and it’s the start of something I’ve been really excited to share. There’s something special about taking a miniature from raw print to a fully realized tabletop encounter—and even more so when the community helps guide every step. That’s the idea behind Print, Paint, and Play, a new three-part video series each month where your input directly shapes what gets created.
How the Series Works
Each month is broken into three connected videos:
Video 1: Print
I’ll showcase three miniatures I’ve printed in resin (for the best possible detail). You’ll get a close look at each model, along with some quick thoughts and lore to bring them to life.
Then it’s up to you—you decide which miniature gets painted.
Video 2: Paint
The winning miniature takes center stage as I paint it. You can absolutely suggest colors, themes, or ideas for the model—but the big focus here is on the future.
You’ll suggest monsters for me to print for next month’s Print, Paint, and Play series, and I’ll choose three at random to feature in the next round.
Video 3: Play
The finished miniature hits the table. I’ll build out a full encounter using terrain and other models from my collection, then walk through how I’d run it in an actual game—covering the creature, the environment, and the flow of the encounter.
This video also includes a giveaway: just comment that you want in, and you’ll have a chance to win the painted miniature. The miniature and shipping are completely free (USA only).
This Month’s Contenders
To kick things off, three very different creatures have emerged from the printer:

- Ironmoor Troll – A hulking brute packed with texture and character. Perfect for a gritty, weathered paint job and a brutal encounter.

- Bulette – The iconic landshark. Dynamic, aggressive, and ideal for an ambush-style scenario bursting up from below.

- Basilisk – Strange and unsettling. A creature that opens the door for eerie color schemes and petrifying tabletop moments.
Each one brings its own flavor, both as a model and as a potential encounter centerpiece.
Your Turn
Voting has already begun, so if you want to have a say, head over to YouTube and leave a comment on the video letting me know which model you want to see painted.
This series is built around community input at every stage—from choosing what gets painted, to shaping future prints, to jumping into the giveaway.
So take a look at the contenders and cast your vote. Which miniature should move on to the painting table?
If you’re enjoying the series—and the content I’m creating both here on the site and over on YouTube—I’d really appreciate your support. I’m working toward a goal of reaching 200 subscribers by the end of May, and every like and subscription makes a difference. If you haven’t already, consider hitting that subscribe button and giving the video a like—it helps more people find the channel and keeps everything growing strong.
Keep on gaming!
