Back in August 2023, we published a post titled “YouTube Channels That You Should Be Following”, featuring 30+ content creators specializing in terrain crafting, GM advice, 3D printing, and all things tabletop. Nearly two years later, we thought it would be fun to revisit that list, check in on who’s still going strong, and introduce a few new names making waves in 2025.
🔄 Still Going Strong
A few creators from the original list are still actively uploading, continuing to inspire and teach the tabletop community:
- Black Magic Craft – The gold standard for terrain tutorials and dungeon crafting remains as reliable and engaging as ever, with weekly uploads still hitting in 2025.
- Wyloch’s Armory – Wyloch continues to blend gaming inspiration with clever crafting solutions, recently dropping a real-life Baldur’s Gate build.
- Tabletop Minions – a YouTube channel focused on hobby miniatures wargaming, offering advice, commentary, and tutorials for new and veteran hobbyists alike.
❌ Gone Quiet
Unfortunately, many other channels on the 2023 list appear to have gone inactive or taken long breaks. Channels like:
- Creatures Caverns & Crafting – Last video was 2 years ago…
- Scattered Terrain – Last video was December 2022…
- 3D-Printed Tabletop – Last video was 3 years ago…
- The Gaming Tome – Last video was 7 months ago…
- Hall of Craft – Last video was 2 years ago…
…haven’t uploaded in many months—or longer. Some were already quiet back in 2023, and the trend continued into 2024 and 2025. If you loved their content, it’s still worth digging through their archives—but don’t expect fresh videos anytime soon.
🆕 New Favorites to Follow in 2025
As some channels go dark, new ones light up. Over the past year, we’ve discovered some exciting newcomers and under-the-radar creators bringing fresh energy to the hobby:
- Deficient Master – With an awesome fresh style, Deficient Master focuses on practical homebrew hacks for narrative-driven tables.
- JunkdrawerStudios – A chaotic mix of clever design, kitbashing, and humor, this channel is a joy for anyone who likes crafting.
- Earthmote – Calming, high-production videos focusing on running a complete fantasy game.
- Bandit’s Keep – A hybrid channel that combines OSR gameplay theory, GM advice, and actual play breakdowns—perfect for lovers of old-school systems.
These channels bring the kind of excitement and creativity that remind us why we fell in love with the hobby to begin with.

Plus, starting in 2024, I have my own channel, Tabletop Thoughts, on YouTube. I am doing a little bit of everything, like painting tutorials, game master advice, and showing off a lot of the stuff that I have created over the years.
👀 What’s Next?
As we move through 2025, YouTube remains one of the best ways to stay inspired in the tabletop scene. Whether you’re revisiting old favorites or exploring rising voices, there’s always something new to learn—or build.
🎯 Have a favorite channel that’s not on this list? Drop it in the comments! We’re always looking to expand the watchlist.
Keep on gaming!
RP Archive is always worth a peruse, albeit his upload schedule is wildly sporadic right now.
