Tabletop Miniatures Update: Progress and Plans

02/11/2025

Happy Tuesday and welcome back to Tabletop Thoughts!

It has been a VERY busy week around the house so nothing was completed over the past week, but there are a lot of items in process.

I got most of the miniatures from the resin printers off sprues, onto bases, and primed black. I got a few of the larger models highlighted as well. I started to paint the Dire Shark (bottom picture). It is almost complete, I want to work a little more on the base color then I am calling it done.

From the FDM printer, I printed out another tree as well as some scatter terrain for caves. I have a water pool with steps, some stalagmites, and a dragon skull altar. I will try to get them primed black this week so I can work on painting them up.

I have been working on my YouTube videos as well. I have three videos in process: House Rules, painting the Dragon Turtle, and painting a cottage. All of the videos have been started in Capcut and just need to be edited and voiceovers finished.

I was thinking of taking some of the terrain and miniatures that I have and setting up some scenes to film. I want to see how good this looks as I work on my videography. I’ll try to various the scenes/terrain to show off some of the stuff that I have created over the years. I have fantasy, modern, Scifi, etc.

I started to redo the Eldoria map for my Shadowdark campaign, Shadows of The Sundered Throne, in Tiled using the 8-bit map set. I got most of the world done and started to add some roads and rivers to the map. I will post that when complete.

Keep on gaming!
