Weekly Update

03/03/2024

Happy Sunday and welcome back to another weekly update. I got some more stuff completed this week.

Here is an NPC with a sack (which could be used for a thief), an orc shaman, and a grick. The orc shaman is a Wizkids miniature. The other two are from Brite Minis.

Here is an elf warrior (the miniature is supposed to be a Drow, but I needed an Elf) and two wizards. The elf is from Brite Minis. The middle wizard is from Fat Dragon Games. The old wizard on the end I don’t remember. If you know, please let me know as a comment.

A female cleric and a demon creature. Both of these miniatures are from Brite Minis.

I also got my new Elegoo Mars 3 MSLA resin printer up and running over the weekend. I ran the test print and it looks like this:

Not too bad. I went ahead and set up a print of miniatures. I did some for a lady that I work with who started playing D&D. She went to HeroForge and Eldritch Factory and made her character but couldn’t get a good print of it. I took a shot. She wanted one small and one larger model. She wants to paint them for the table.

The hag is off my Ender 3 Pro for comparison. I was blown away by the details I am getting off the printer with very little experience with resin printers. I even zoomed in on the small miniature and you can see the numbers on the D20.

I also included a miniature for me in the run and, of course, mine was my first resin 3D print failure.

Everything looked good until I got the left foot which is missing. I might see what I can do with it to save it.

I love the resin printer, but the mess that you have to deal with is a pain in the butt. Well worth it, but a pain never the less.

Keep on gaming!
