Worldbuilding Wednesday – Potential Adventures/Quests for Eldoria

05/10/2023

I wanted ChatGPT to develop some quests that we could use for Eldoria and here is what we got:

Here are some potential quests that adventurers in Eldoria can undertake:

The Missing Heir: The rightful heir to the throne of Aranthia has gone missing, and the kingdom is in chaos. The players are hired to find the missing heir and restore order to the realm. The search takes them to dangerous locations, such as the ruins of an ancient temple and the lair of a fearsome dragon.

If it involves dragons, might this also involve the Kingdom of Drakoria (since that is dragons are from and the royal knights are Dragonriders)

The Curse of Dragonspire: The kingdom of Drakoria is suffering under a terrible curse that has befallen the land. The players are tasked with uncovering the source of the curse and putting an end to it. They must navigate treacherous dungeons and brave the wrath of powerful magical beings to succeed.

This might be a good hook to introduce an Underdark-like realm.

The Golden Chalice: A wealthy noble in Thessaria has commissioned the players to retrieve a priceless golden chalice that was stolen from him. The chalice is believed to be hidden in a mysterious underground labyrinth, guarded by deadly traps and dangerous monsters.

A standard dungeon-crawl adventure.

The Witch’s Brew: The queen of Valtara has fallen ill, and the only cure is a rare herb that grows deep in the heart of a haunted forest. The players must navigate the dangerous forest and evade the traps and creatures set by a powerful witch who seeks to keep the herb for herself.

A standard hex crawl adventure

The Lost City: Rumors abound of an ancient city that was lost to the sands of time. The players are hired by a wealthy collector to find the lost city and recover any valuable artifacts that may be hidden within. They must brave harsh deserts, treacherous tombs, and deadly traps to uncover the secrets of the lost city.

A standard hex crawl adventure. This could expand the map into the Great Saren desert.

The Pirate’s Treasure: A notorious pirate has hidden his treasure on a remote island, guarded by his loyal crew and deadly traps. The players are hired by a wealthy merchant to recover the treasure and put an end to the pirate’s reign of terror.

A water-based adventure that could be based in Aranthia.

The Dark Tower: A powerful necromancer has taken up residence in a foreboding tower, raising an army of the undead and threatening the surrounding kingdoms. The players are tasked with infiltrating the tower and defeating the necromancer before his dark magic spreads any further.

This adventure could be placed anywhere in Eldoria.

The Cursed Artifact: An ancient artifact has been unearthed in a forgotten tomb, and those who possess it are cursed with a terrible affliction. The players must track down the artifact and destroy it before the curse can claim any more victims.

Another standard adventure good for anywhere in Eldoria.

The Ghost Ship: A haunted ship has been spotted off the coast, and those who sail on it are never seen again. The players are hired to investigate the ghost ship and put an end to its cursed voyages.

Another water-based adventure, probably in Aranthia.

The Elemental Crystals: The four kingdoms of Eldoria each possess a powerful elemental crystal that imbues their lands with magic. The crystals have been stolen and scattered across the land, and the players are tasked with recovering them before the world falls into chaos. They must face powerful guardians and deadly traps to retrieve the crystals and restore balance to the world.

A world-spanning adventure that would make for a great campaign.

Keep on gaming!

  1. Your use of chatgpt to create a D&D world and campaign has give me idea to do the same for a campaign I wanted to create. I was wondering what prompts you use to ask chatgpt to get the results you have. I’ve used a couple but I wonder what you have used to get your results.

  4. I’m so sorry for spamming the question. Wordpess was acting wonky when I was trying to post it. It kept making me log in so it didn’t seem to be going up all all until one actually posted
