Happy Thursday, and welcome back to Tabletop Thoughts!

Today, we are releasing the Thursday Drop-in for September, titled ‘The Hollow Grove’.

Travelers speak in hushed tones of a cursed woodland where the air tastes of iron, the trees twist like claws, and the forest swallows those who stray too far. When the adventurers stumble upon a moss-choked ring of ancient druid stones, they find themselves trapped in a grove that feels very much alive—and hungry.

This drop-in encounter reveals the grove’s true nature: a druid circle corrupted by a dark bargain, now existing halfway between the mortal world and a ravenous spirit realm. At its heart lurks the Hollow Guardian, a wooden husk animated by spite, whose roots and whispers ensnare intruders. Adventurers may uncover lore from Elaris Mossroot, a wary herbalist who skirts the grove’s edge, and claim rewards like the Bone Talisman or druidic offerings if they survive. Perfect as a travel interruption or a full one-session mystery, this encounter offers eerie atmosphere, dangerous foes, and the haunting question—can the grove’s curse ever be broken?
