Weekly Update on Tabletop Terrain and Miniatures

06/22/2025

Happy Sunday and welcome back to Tabletop Thoughts!

This week, I completed a few tasks, including both terrain pieces and miniatures.

“I was just on my way to pay you back, and I got a little sidetracked. It’s not my fault!”

I printed out a few Sci-Fi vehicles this week and painted them up. These models are from EC3D Design. They have a Star Wars feel to them.

A pair of armored hovercraft at a forest Rebel base.

A couple more from EC3D Design. These look great on a table for Star Wars Legion or Shatterpoint. I have used them for Five Parsecs from Home as well. If I don’t need these, they will probably end up on my eBay store.

A sea troll in his undersea territory.

Here is a sea troll from EC3D Design’s Beasts and Baddies Vol 2 collection. I like the model and the proportions of the design. It makes it easier to do a basic SlapChop highlight with a makeup brush, then I can apply some speed paints, and he is done.

Do you prefer fire or earth for an elemental?

I finished up an Earth and a Fire Elemental from EC3D Designs. I believe both of these models are from the Bests and Baddies Vol 2 Collection as well. I attempted to apply OSL (Object Source Lighting) to the base of the Fire Elemental, but I wasn’t satisfied with the final result, so I didn’t include it here. That is another technique that I need to work on.

Mountain Giants on the warpath!

These Mountain Giants are from The Printing Goes Ever On. These models are from the July release, Episode 2 – Goblin Den. I printed them out in resin and did a quick SlapChop painting. These look great and took no time to do.

If you play miniature agnostic fantasy wargames, like Frostgrave or Age of Fantasy, you really need to check out The Printing Goes Ever On. They have great miniatures that fit the genre and plenty of different models to make your army not a generic-looking band of the same guy. They have dwarves, elves, humans, monsters, etc.

Keep on gaming!
