Happy Father’s Day and welcome back to tabletop thoughts! For any fathers out there, I hope that you get to spend some time with family and do whatever you love to do.

I went back to painting miniatures this week, and I was surprised by the amount I was able to complete in a week filled with work and other appointments.

Cultist 1: “When do we summon the Dark Lord?”
Cultist 2: “At this point, I would settle for summoning a chair. My feet hurt!”
Both of these miniatures are from EC3D Design’s Beasts and Baddies Vol 2 collection. Since they are in the same cult, I tried to keep the colors the same. The male cultist gives off a Cobra Commander vibe with that mask.

A Wyvern searches for its next meal from its perch outside its lair.
This miniature is from Brite Minis. It was designed for supportless FDM printing, but I printed this in resin. I stuck to greens since I would consider a wyvern to be more of a reptile.

An Elven loremaster walks near the sacred pond.
This miniature is from The Printing Goes Ever On. I really like their models. I stuck to greens and light blues, as they seem like Elven colors to me.

A mummy lord roams his final resting place.
The mummy lord is from EC3D Design. I kept the bandages a light brown/tan color, but went with bolder colors for the other pieces to make him pop a little.

“The adventurers are coming, so look scary!” – Beholder during the dungeon group meeting.
The ogre is from EC3D Design, the ooze is from Brite Minis, and the beholder (Angry Ball Of Eyes) is from Fat Dragon Games. The ogre used to be holding a club, but that print failed. I removed the pieces that did print, and tried to make it look like he was just holding his hands in the air like the Hulk.
For the ooze, I went from a green-yellow base and added highlights of yellow on top of that.
I went with greens for this beholder. I like blues a little better on the model, but I already have a couple like that. I might give one away to one of my friends or coworkers.
I am working on editing a video where I build another custom terrain piece. I also have a video in process where I show off some scatter terrain for a modern setting, and another video continuing our random overland hex map. Hopefully, I get finished with one of those soon.
I have gone back through my older videos and made some new thumbnails and titles for them, something to get a few more new subscribers. (https://www.youtube.com/@TabletopThoughts)
Keep on gaming!
