Happy Friday and welcome back to Tabletop Thoughts!

After only 30 minutes, the Neptune 3 is up and ready to go! It was very easy to assemble and calibrate the bed level. I am quite impressed with the machine. Auto-bed leveling and a filament run-out detector are built into the printer. Elegoo is definitely my favorite 3D printer company for both FDM and resin printers.

I started off with the classic: a Benchy. I tried to slice a normal Benchy, but Cura kept throwing errors, so I tried the Jaws Benchy. Four hours later, I have my first print off the new machine. I will need to spend some time tweaking the settings in Cura for this printer, but I can continue to make terrain pieces (and keep the Etsy store running).
I plugged it into my Octoprint and it recognized the printer. I was able to send commands (to make the bed move), and those all worked. I will try to start a new print from work and see if it works correctly. It will take some time, but everything looks promising.
Keep on gaming!
