Happy Sunday and welcome back to Tabletop Thoughts!
This week, I plowed through a group of miniatures and was pretty impressed with some of the models and my painting.

A Blue Slaad and a Green Slaad stand before an altar to Orcus.
These models are from the recent EC3D Design’s collection release called Beasts and Baddies. I don’t think I have ever used a Slaad in an adventure I have run, but these models make me want to include them. I really like the Blue Slaad, and the painting turned out good as well.

Deep in the Underdark, a Hook Horror searches for its next meal.
Another model from Beasts and Baddies, this Hook Horror looks great for the table. The bone hooks and turtle shell make this model look like a formidable foe. I stuck to greens and browns with bony matter speed paint for the bony parts.

A family of owlbears in the forest.
These models are from Fat Dragon Games. I would use the owlbear with feathers as the male since that reminds me of male birds that use their feathers as part of attracting a mate. Both of the small owlbears would be male as well. I used brown India Inks with a dry brush of a brown miniature paint for highlights.

A Medusa in her swamp.
This model is from Brite Minis and was printed in resin. I like the colors I went with and think she would be a great foe for the tabletop. She is the first of the “snakepeople” that I have finished but there are more in process.

An elf warrior patrols a sacred forest.
This elf model is from Brite Minis and was printed in resin. I like how the gold chain mail turned out. It looks even better in person. The skin tones are about where I want them. I am going back over skin with white primer, then using a tan flesh miniature paint, followed by a flesh wash.
I also finished another short video on my review of Unnatural Selection, a supplement for Shadowdark. This video covers backgrounds, pantheons, equipment, and titles.
Keep on gaming!
