Happy Sunday and welcome to Tabletop Thoughts!
This week was crazy with both jobs, but I was able to complete a few things that were on the table for the past two weeks.

A Shambler protects an ancient Elven site.
I was able to finish up this Shambler from EC3D Designs. I really like this model for a shambling mound. I used India inks to paint the model with a few acrylic paints for the mushrooms and eyes.

A cave hydra in its underground lair.
I finished up the hydra this week. It is an inexpensive plastic toy that I got at a thrift store years ago. I primed it black and painted it with India Inks and a few acrylic paints. Not too bad for a cheap toy.
The back wall is new. It is a modular snap-together wall that I wanted to print for some time. It is always nice to have a stone wall for a background. I primed it black, added some burnt umber with a sponge, overbrushed it with pewter gray, then did a dry brush with light gray, then finally white.
The stalagmites are also finished this week. I printed them out on my FDM printer. I used a sponge to apply a few different colors and then dry-brushed them with a few grays. I like how they came out. I did the water with glue and India ink and then covered that with a little resin and India ink. I think I can do a better job with a two-part resin. I will try that on the next run. I did record this process so expect to see that in a future video,

Here is a better picture of the setup.

An Iroonmoor Troll and a Cyclops guard the road to their master’s sanctuary.
Both of these models are from The Printing Goes Ever On. I really like how the painting of the troll turned out. He will make a good addition to the rest of the Ironmoor Trolls I have printed/painted. The Cyclops isn’t bad. I tried a new technique for the flesh tones. It still isn’t where I want it, but it is getting closer.
I also finished a new YouTube video about painting an FDM-printed cottage.
Keep on gaming!
