Hobby Update: Finished Miniatures for Tabletop Games

12/29/2024

Happy Sunday and welcome back to Tabletop Thoughts! It has been a while since my last hobby update because of the busy holiday season. Here are a few things I finally finished and got off the crafting table.

I finished this Batman bust that has been haunting the crafting table for some time. I really just wanted it finished so I just sat down and did it. It’s not my best work, but it’s good enough for the shelf.

A wizard and his Cyclops companion walk a treacherous forest.

The wizard is from Fat Dragon Games and was printed in resin. The Cyclops is from Briter Minis and was printed using an FDM printer. Both of them are “table ready” and would be used during a game session. I am still not happy with any of the flesh-colored speed paints that I have tried. I used Crusader Skin on these models then I went back and painted over them with Citadel Kislev Flesh then used a flesh wash. If you have a better suggestion for skin-colored speed paint, please leave me a comment with the name (a picture would be even better!)

The trees are new and were printed on the FDM printer as well. Since I have so many trees, I placed these trees in my Etsy store. Right now, I am running a 50% off everything sale until the end of the year. Stop over and see if there is anything that you need for your tabletop games.

The cultist performs a dark ritual.

This miniature is from Massive Darkness 2. I painted it up using India inks and speed paints. I could definitely see him as the BBEG for a campaign, maybe as a cultist leader or a Demon Lord of Lost Souls.

Tomorrow there will be another painting video going up on my YouTube channel. Please stop over and take a look.

Keep on gaming!
