Merry Christmas! Welcome back to Tabletop Thoughts. Today we will look at some of the miniatures I got in process this holiday week.

First is the frost giant from the latest release from The Printing Goes Ever On. It has been primed with a flat black and highlighted with an airbrush. I actually sat with my airbrush for over an hour highlighting miniatures yesterday. I finally feel like I am getting good enough to get nice highlights for my painting.

I have four of these spiders done. They should be easy to finish since they really need only a color or two from a speed paint then they are complete.

Four elementals are ready for painting. I primed the fire elemental white since it is made of fire and doesn’t have shadows on it. I will paint it yellow then orange then red to get a good fire effect. The others will take some standard colors (Grays and blues)

Here are some more miniatures I am making for my Neon Skies game when I start it up. These are from the Ghost City set from EC3D Designs. I have quite a few of models from this collection that I need to get painted so I am ready when my book arrives. I still need to paint up the hacking tower and build up a vehicle chase set along with getting some SciFi cars/motorcycles ready.

More miniatures from The Printing Goes Ever On. The bottom pictures are of two gnomes and a cursed child. I really like the models but some of the weapons and arms are very thins and can easily break.

The Greek is from Brite Minis but the others are from The Printing Goes Ever On. I like the bulkiness of the supportless models from Brite Minis. I don’t feel afraid to pick them up and play with them.

Some monsters from The Printing Goes Ever On. I tried to make sure that the fire snake’s head was completely painted white so I could do the same fire effect from the fire elemental on it. I am not sure on the color scheme for the rest of the snake yet. The aboleth will be a bluish color and the displacer beast will be a blue/black color.
Now that the printing, priming, and highlighting steps are complete, I can focus on getting some paint onto these models so they are ready for the tabletop.
Keep on gaming!
