Miniature Painting Progress Update for Tabletop Gamers

11/17/2024

Happy Sunday and welcome back to Tabletop Thoughts! This week I finally completed a few more miniatures and continued working on something I started months ago.

I finished the hags and the orc hanging around the table for a while now. The hag models are from The Printing Goes Ever On (RPG tier) and the orc is from Artisan Guild. The hags look good, especially the largest one, but I like the orc. He looks good enough for the table.

I kept the color scheme for the hags so I can say they are the same hag slowly evolving into her final monstrous form if I want. Otherwise, they can all be sisters from the same coven.

I pulled the Mighty Dragon miniature (The Printing Goes Ever On) from the shelf and gave it a rattle can coat of Cherry Red. It has been sitting above me for months, so I really wanted to finish it this year. I am going to mix up a homemade red wash and go over the model to bring out the texture, highlight it with an orange/red, and then go back and do the details like horns, claws, etc. I still haven’t decided what to do with the base. I definitely don’t want to leave it blank since this is going to be more of a display piece than an actual table miniature. We will see if I can get all of that done before 2025.

My Christmas present is here and already working. I got an Elegoo Saturn 3 and it is huge! You can see it compared to my Elegoo Mars 3 and the Creality Ender 3 Pro. All of them are running in the photo in this photo. I am going to have a lot more miniature throughput now.

Keep on gaming!
