Crafting Table Update: Miniatures and Models

10/22/2024

Happy Tuesday and welcome back to Tabletop Thoughts! Today we will look at the items I have on the crafting table for the week.

I have a lot of miniatures from Fat Dragon Games on the table along with some other models from other creators. I printed all of these in resin even though FDG makes supportless miniatures for FDM printers. I am planning on getting some of these painted up this week. I might try to capture me painting them on camera for the YouTube channel.

More supportless models were made on an FDM printer. All of these are from Fat Dragon Games or Brite Minis. A few of these might get painted as well if time permits.

I have a few FDM terrain pieces to complete. I am thinking of painting these on camera. I like the little cottage. It will look good on the table as part of a village. The ruined chapel is awesome. This is the third one I have printed and painted. This model would look great on a Frostgrave table or any other fantasy wargame. I really like how it looks when completed. Here is one I did earlier in the year.

I may have to do some maintenance this weekend on the Ender 3 Pro. I think the Z-axis rod is starting to slip a little. I printed out a shambler and it looks a little shorter than normal.

Compression is usually a sign of Z-axis trouble. I watched the rod go up and down a few times, and it occasionally slips. I ordered some new couplers that should take care of the issue.

That’s a lot to complete for the week. We’ll see what I get done on Sunday.

Keep on gaming!
