Week’s Miniature Painting and Printing Review – What’s on the Table Tuesday

09/03/2024

Welcome back to What’s on the Table Tuesday! Here is what I am working on this week.

We have four miniatures on the table this week, including a Cube O’ Snot from Fat Dragon Games (printed with FDM). These are great and quick to finish. I’ll give it a quick SlapChop dry brush with white then use acrylic ink for the main color with Pallid Bone Speed Paint for the skeletons in the cube. I can go back and touch up the bubbles with a lighter color to make them stand out.

There is an elf warrior from The Printing Goes Ever On printed in resin. He is almost completely painted and should be done by Sunday. He just needs a black wash on the metal and the base needs to be painted black.

A giant eagle from The Printing Goes Ever On printed in resin. This model is almost complete and will be done by Sunday. The base needs another coat of black and I might touch up the yellows.

A female druid that is from Reaper Bones 5 I think. It is a purchased plastic miniature, and I just had to add a base. I got the flesh color on her and I painted the wooden staff but I have a feeling she is destined for the blue bin.

I also printed out these skeleton shrines from Fat Dragon Games. I don’t like using tea lights with the models so I just print them out in solid PLA and glue the pieces together. I am not sure if I want to glue the body into the casket on the right or leave it as separate pieces. What do you think?

Either way, these models are quick to do (gray dry brush with some light gray highlights) so they should be completed by Sunday.

I also have a halfling house on the FDM printer this morning. It should be finished by the time I get home if all goes well.

Keep on gaming!
