Today I tried out Krylon Fusion All-in-One Paint + Primer since my Walmart was out of my usual Rust-oleum Ultra Flat Black Primer. I had the grey primer but preferred to prime in black since it is one less step in my painting process. I know that Wylock loves the grey version, but he doesn’t use the SlapChop technique when painting his miniatures like me.
I took a batch of miniatures out to be primed with resin and FDM models.
It was awful. I sprayed the models like usual and let them sit for 20 minutes. They were still tacky to the touch and very shiny.

Does that look matte to you?
The coverage was poor as you can see on the bottom of the FDM model on the left side. I can still see the pink filament cover through the primer. I never have this issue with the Rust-oluem paint.
The worst part is this batch of miniatures contained the hag models that I struggled to get printed. All of that work just to get the models and I might have messed them up with a bad primer. Never again. I will drive to another Walmart before I use any Krylon primers again.
Keep on gaming!
