Monthly Tabletop Gaming Giveaway & Painting Progress Update

08/27/2027

Welcome back! There is a lot in the pipeline, which has given me an idea.

First up are the items on the painting table right now. Back Row: We have an impressive-looking demon creature, a brown bear (The Printing Goes Ever On), and a knight (Fat Dragon Games). These models are almost completed. Front Row: models for Neon Skies, all in various stages of completion. All of these models are resin.

Here is a better shot of the front-row miniatures.

I took the time to organize my in-process miniatures into separate baskets on Saturday to see everything I had.

The blue bin in the ‘on deck’ models. This bin holds models that received some color, but I started working on other models. When I feel they are just taking up space on the table, they get moved to the blue bin. Eventually, I will tire of looking at them here and finishing them. Some models make several trips from the blue bin to the table and back to the bin.

These white bins hold my primed and highlighted resin miniatures. I put a couple fresh off-the-build plate models in here until I get them off the supports and onto a base.

This bin is the primed and highlighted FDM and purchased plastic miniatures waiting to be painted. Items from Massive Darkness 2 and the Reaper Bones 5 Kickstarter are still in here as well as some older Wizkids models.

FDM and resin miniatures waiting to be primed and highlighted. FDM models usually get SlapChop highlights with a makeup brush while the resin models get airbrushed.

These are mystical ponds from The Printing Goes Ever On that I printed on my FDM printer. I wanted to paint up at least one of them to see what it looks like, but I have so much other stuff to do.

That is when I thought: Hey, let’s do another Giveaway! One of the YouTube channels that I enjoy is GamingGeek. He does monthly giveaways of various gaming-related products and does a great job printing/painting the items that he showcases. So I thought I would start monthly giveaways for this website to help get through the sea of unfinished models.

I am still debating if I want to give away unpainted miniatures that the winner can paint (hopefully they will post a picture of the painted item for all of us to see) or if I want to give away painted models (which helps drive me to do more painting).

If I do painted models, it will only be one or two models a month. If they are unpainted, there will probably be more in the prize since there is less work. What do you think? Leave me a comment.

Starting on October 1st, I will draw a random name from the list of subscribers to this website and they will receive the prize. I will send them a message to get their address information and send out their prize free of charge. I will put together the first prize in September and post it on this website.

Keep on gaming!
