Weekly Update: Exploring New Colors on Tabletop Miniatures

08/04/2024

Happy Sunday and welcome back for another Weekly Update! I continued working through my plastic miniatures pipeline to complete a few more this week. I also got a few new colors the last time I went to the game store so I tried them out this week on some of the miniatures.

I finished a knight, an elf, and another legendary warrior. The knight and elf are from The Printing Goes Ever On and the warrior is from Print My Minis. I would use any of those minis on the table for a PC character. With that color and haircut, the knight looks like the Green Lantern Guy Gardener. The elf looks good, especially being a resin print. The warrior is great as well. I tried out a new blue color on the fur. What do you think of the color?

Here are a pair of barbarians from Brite Minis. Again, these miniatures are good for a FDM printer. What you lose in details and pose, you gain in cost and durability. I would have no issue using these on the table for PC characters. I did get a tough resin from AnyCubic that I am going to try as soon as I use up the current resin in the tank. I used a new blue/green on these. Thoughts?

A manticore and a minotaur. The manticore is from Brite Minis and the minotaur is from the Dungeons and Monsters 3 Humble Bundle. Both of these monsters would look great on the table. The manticore coloring isn’t as nice as I would have hoped, but it was a fast SlapChop job. The stinger blends into the rest of the body too much. I might go back and add a little more color to make it stand out.

Hopefully, I can get more done next week!

Keep on gaming!
