What’s on the Table Tuesday

07/30/2024

Welcome back to the crafting table! Today, we will look at what I am currently working on this week.

First up are the miniatures that I am actively painting. I have a minotaur and a legendary warrior. The minotaur is from the Dungeons and Monsters 3 Humble bundle and the legendary warrior is from Print My Minis. The Otyug, from Brite Minis, is up next since I had a request for one through one of my online stores. A quick Slapchop highlights/speed paint and it will be done in no time.

The next bin is the models that have been primed, highlighted, and some paint put onto the model. If I don’t feel like working on it anymore, it ends up here. Eventually, I will randomly pull one out and work on it again. That is how the vampire brides from Sunday’s Weekly Update got completed.

The next bin is the primed and highlighted models waiting to be painted. My Cyberpunk models are in here as well as some other recent prints that I really want to start.

The next bin is the primed miniatures waiting to be highlighted. While some of them are FDM printed and could get the Slapchop highlighting/ speed paints, most of them are resin and require an airbrush to highlight. I usually wait until the weekend to do that since it takes extra time to clean up the airbrush when done and I only get a little bit of time to paint during the week.

The next bin is the FDM printed miniatures waiting to be primed. As you can see, I have been on a Myconid printing kick lately. I might not even prime these miniatures and just place them on my Etsy store under the unpainted miniatures section for a discounted price. These would make a great addition to any Underdark adventure/campaign.

The last bin is resin prints that are waiting to get bases and primed. There is an owlbear, dire bear, owl harpy, a grick, and a hippogriff in that bin. Instead of using resin for the bases, I have been printing bases on the FDM printer when the filament starts to get low.

Lastly, we have the latest prints to come out of the resin tank. I really like that stone troll from Print My Minis (I believe this is my 3rd or 4th troll). The other models are Elves from The Printing Goes Ever On.

As you can see, I have plenty of miniatures to paint. I still have the hacking tower for Neon Skies to prime and a few other pieces of terrain to finish painting as well. Never a dull moment in the Tabletop Thoughts crafting room!

Plus, there is a squad of kobolds from Fat Dragon Games and Brite Minis on the FDM printer right now that should finish up sometime tomorrow.

Keep on gaming!
