Welcome back to another Worldbuilding Wednesday!

Today we will continue with the Shadows of the Sundered Throne Shadowdark campaign. Last time, we mentioned that the Emporer’s brother, Prince Ariston now known as Lord Phobos, has allied himself with demons and goblinoids to overthrow the government. Let’s look at some of the demon lords influencing the region.

Baelthorn, the Blightbringer

Description: Baelthorn manifests as a skeletal figure draped in tattered robes, surrounded by a cloud of pestilence. His eyes glow with the sickly green hue of decay.

Main Goal: To spread virulent corruption across the land, transforming fertile realms into desolate wastelands and strengthening his dominion over the forces of decay.

Lysandra, the Abyssal Siren

Description: Lysandra, a seductive demoness with midnight-blue scales and a voice that ensnares minds. She holds a harp crafted from the bones of betrayed lovers.

Main Goal: To lure powerful beings into her service through irresistible temptation, using their strengths to weave chaos and discord across dimensions.

Molorath the Soulflayer

Description: Molochrath appears as a towering figure with obsidian skin, adorned in ethereal flames. His eyes gleam with the stolen souls of the fallen.

Main Goal: To amass an army of corrupted souls and unleash them upon the mortal realms, plunging them into eternal darkness.

Necroskarn the Undying

Description: Necroskarn is a skeletal lord wielding a wicked, rune-carved sword. His presence is accompanied by an unnatural chill, and a dark aura of undeath surrounds him.

Main Goal: To raise an army of undead minions and conquer the mortal realms, bringing eternal night and enslaving the living to serve in his skeletal legions.

All of the Demon Lords are connected to a faction operating in the region of Golden Fields, the starting town for the campaign.
