It was October 2021 when I first posted pictures of the miniatures I had painted on this website as part of a weekly update. I had just quit my 2nd job and was excited about getting more time to work on my hobby. I was inspired by a YouTube channel to post weekly pictures to motivate me to craft regularly. Here is the 1st miniature that I posted:

You can see the entire post here.
Fast forward almost 3 years, and I am back working at that 2nd job (I have been back here 2 years in September) but I am still making time each week (mostly) to work on my hobby. I enjoy painting miniatures and making terrain even if they never get placed on the gaming table.
I have expanded into resin printing and opened up Etsy and eBay stores to sell off some of my extra miniatures. It feels good to know that people are using those miniatures that I made to play games with their friends and family. I don’t get to play much anymore and those miniatures would just be taking up space and collecting dust. Now, they are helping to create stories that will talked about for years.
I look at the models I have done recently and can see improvements over time. Here is the last picture of some miniatures that I posted as well as my last printed/painted terrain piece (which I really like)

While they aren’t going to win me any awards for painting, I can see that I have gotten better with details. I am using more techniques like airbrushing, zenithal highlights, and SlapChop. I have a wet palette that I use when using traditional-style paints. I watch videos from various content creators on YouTube about the hobby (crafting, running games, adventure design, map making, etc) so I feel that I am still growing and learning more about being better at my chosen hobby.
Sometimes, it is nice to look back to see where you were and compare that to where you are now.
Keep on gaming!
