Unless you have been a rock, you would have seen a huge amount of YouTube videos and blog posts about Shadowdark. When it was active, I backed the Shadowdark Kickstarter, which has been delivered by this point in time. I have started reading through the books and zines while I watch videos in my free time. It has been a while since I was this excited about a new RPG. I now just have to get the rules down and find a group (No problem, right?)

I have been working on a one-shot adventure for Shadowdark that I will hopefully run someday. I used the tables in the Shadowdark book along with the random maps generator using a Rubik’s Cube from Five Torches Deep. Below is a sample of the map that I designed for the one-shot (I used DungeonScrawl for the actual map). Once I am done with the total design, I was thinking of making it a One-Page One-Shot with all of the information that you need to run the adventure right on one page (I might need front and back but it would still be one page).

I am in the process of making 3D-printed tiles and terrain for the adventure plus gathering a lot of 1st level characters that I will supply. That way, the players at the table will have a lot of variety to choose from. I might even include some new character class from the 3rd party material (or Offical Arcane Libray supplements like the Cursed Scroll Zines or Bard/Ranger add-ons)

While I am reading the Shadowdark material (official and 3rd party), I will be writing reviews as I try to get my mind wrapped around the rules.
