Today we are looking back at the series of posts I made using the M&M 3E Gamemaster’s Kit and Quickstart Character Generator. By following along in the guide, you roll a series of D20 (Only die used in M&M3E) and you will come out with a balanced 150pt Level 10 character.

There are 20 different archetypes so I generated 20 random characters over about 5 months. I took what we had and came up with a concept and fleshed out the rest. This is something that I think everyone should do to 1) become more familiar with the rule set of the game and 2) get the creative juices flowing.

Before I did this experiment, I had created the Avengers and X-Men using the M&M 3E ruleset. I tried to keep them all on the same PL10 Level (which is hard for characters like Hulk and Thor) for a one-shot game that I ran for some of my friends. You can find those files here.

I went back later and came up with better PL ranks for the heroes where I felt they should be and listed those here.
