Weekly Update

05/21/2023

Happy Sunday!

While having picked up an extra shift at my 2nd job, I was able to complete quite a bit this week.

A priest and a minotaur fight in a temple to Orcus.

The minotaur miniature is from Fat Dragon Games and the priest is from BriteMinis.

A druid and his axebeak mount try to tame a wild sentient vine creature.

The vine and the druid are both from the Bones 5 Kickstarter. The axebeak is from Miguel Zavala, who gives by mz4250. He has modeled all of the creatures from the Monster Manual and has put them out for free! If you need something, google his handle and the creature’s name…you should find something that you can print. He has a Patreon you can join if you want to support him. The giant trees are new as well. I made them out of a pool noodle, paper towels, PVA glue, hot glue, and some homemade flocking.

Here are some scatter terrain pieces that I made from items from Dollar Tree. I just glued them to wooden disks then added some flocking and grass tufts. They are a little cartoony looking but would fit right in on a table for young players.

Two deadly predators face off in the Underdark.

The centipede creature is from the Bone 5 Kickstarter and the Ankheg is from BriteMinis. I made the mushroom scatter terrain in the background from mushrooms and sand from Dollar Tree plus some real rocks.

It’s a bug’s life.

Both of these centipedes were made from a tub if insects I got off the Internet. It was the same tub that had the beetles and giant flies. I mounted them on wooden disks and painted them with acrylic inks. Easy as that!

A group of mercenaries standing on some alien world.

All of these miniatures are not 3D printed. The guy on the far left (who reminds me of Arnold Schwarzenegger for some reason) and the guy in the center are from eBay which I bought some years ago. The rest of the crew are Mage Knight figures that I just put on new plastic bases and gave a black wash. The blue landspeeder is 3D printed and painted by me. The buildings in the background are kitbashed from items around the house and a pipe set I got off the Internet. These guys would look good on a 5 Parsecs from Home game…

Keep on gaming!
