This might be a difficult encounter, especially for low-level characters or if all party members don’t have ranged weapons. The manticore can stay out of the range of the melee fighters and spray volleys of spikes at the heroes. They could separate to create more targets for the manticore, but then the hero is alone if the manticore lands to take its bite and claw attacks. There isn’t much cover in the area to hide behind so they might be able to draw the manticore down if they can get to the cave…
