Weekly Update

01/15/2023

We are back with another installment of Weekly Update. It has been a couple of weeks so there are a lot of miniatures to go through this week so let’s get started.

Here is a hill giant (Fat Dragon Games) and a dragon (Brite Minis) on my forest UDT terrain with some trees and scatter.

I like the design of the giant but I really don’t like the paint job that I did. If I didn’t have hundreds of miniatures waiting to be painted, I would go back and do a better job.

The dragon is great. I have a few of these now, all different colors. I am going to try to print this model out at 150% to make the Huge scale of an adult dragon (5E).

More Tolkein-like goblins from Fat Dragon Games. I am working on getting enough of these printed out so I can use them for the standard goblin in my home games.

Another bugbear from Lost Adventures Co, and an orc and goblin from Fat Dragon Games. I really like the look of the bugbear. To me, this is what a bugbear should look like. I am printing out some bugbears from Brite Minis so look for those in the coming days. This model might be the leader and the new bugbears look a little smaller as “rank-and-file” soldiers.

Here is a duckfolk miniature from Brite Minis. It is a nice model with an okay paint job. I really don’t have duckfolk in my games but I wanted to see how it printed.

Here is an angel miniature and a demon from Massive Darkness 2 on my UDT 3.0 terrain with some scatter pieces to show the wall corners and doors. I think it works really well for game play. You don’t really need walls, you just know where they are from the corners and other pieces.

I took a Dollar Tree Ursula, mounted her on a medicine bottle top, and made them into a statue of some forgotten evil god.

I went with the blue skin for the angel. I like it, reminds me of the Deva from 4E. I tried to make the fire of the demon look good. This is the best I got. The demon has purple skin with red robes.

Here is a skeleton (I forgot the board game it came with) along with a knight from Massive Darkness 2 and his thief partner from Brite Minis. I like the model of the knight and tried to do a good job with the paint.

Here is a lizardfolk and a snakeman, both from Fat Dragon Games on my swamp UDT. It is almost like they are investigating the area with the fallen trees, a sign that humans are in the area.

The fallen logs are not new but I went back and added some washes to them to darken them up. I think they look a lot better.

I really like those snakeman models and have been making a growing collection of them. The lizardfolk miniature is great too. I need to print out more of them as well.

Three bounty hunters enter a small town. These models are all from Massive Darkness 2 and the board is my stamped canvas board from Broken Terrain. The houses in the background are homemade and the well is from a garden gnome set I bought.

I really like the model in the middle. He looks the best in my opinion.

Keep on gaming!
