For the next installment of Who’s That, I thought I would go back to my old favorite, Mutants and Masterminds 3E. I broke out the random character generator and let the dice roll. We will make a PL10 hero…
For the archetype, I rolled a 5, ENERGY CONTROLLER! We roll a 15, so our hero is RESERVED. Our hero doesn’t like to stand out or by flashy…We mark those abilities on the character sheet. We are at 34/150PP spent so far.
We roll twice on the advantages table and get 1 (AGGRESSIVE) and 16 (PRECISE). If you make the hero mad, watch out. Apparently, they get aggressive in battle but have the precision to keep the damage on the target. We mark those advantages on the character sheet and end up at 38/150PP spent.
For skills, we select INTIMIDATION (which seems to fit the character) and automatically get the Ranged Combat skill. We get to roll twice and get 1 (ATHLETE) and 20 (SLY). The hero is in shape and a little sneaky. Those points are added to the sheet and we are now at 52/150PP spent, about 1/3 done.
For the power section, we roll a 9 so we get the 1st option. We start with Blast 12 and quick change, then roll for three more alternate effects. We get 2 (DAZZLE), 7 (ENERGY CONSTRUCTS), and 18 (SNARE). Those are added to the character sheet and we are at 80/150PP.
For defensive power, we get immunity and we roll a 16 (FORCE FIELD). We add that to the sheet and end up at 110/150PP, getting close to the end.
For the utility powers, we roll a 6 (ENERGY FORM) and 10 (FLIGHT). That takes us up to 138/150PP.
We add in the defenses and we reach 150/150PP. Now, we have to finish developing the character. We decide that we want a fire controller and start to look for a picture online. We land on this picture and we finish up the character.

Definitely a character I would play. She would be a great ranged fighter that can hold their own. She can make constructs from flame and even turn herself into fire!
