Weekly Update

11/27/2022

Another week comes to an end and more models are completed. All of the miniatures painted this week are 3D printed.

An aboleth sits at the bottom of the deep, scheming and plotting.

The aboleth (Brite Minis) turned out ok. I like the eyes and the colors. I used the Slapchop base with acrylic inks. I might have added some gradients using my airbrush if I was better with it. I got some new needles for it, but I haven’t got it out to install.

An undead band of soldiers marches through the swamps toward their goal.

The wash on the armor plates isn’t as good as it could be. There is little definition in the lines in the armor. It looks better in person, but the camera light washes them out. I like the way the cloaks and the bones turned out. The skeletons with swords are from Brite Minis and the archer and mace skeletons are from Fat Dragon Games.

A bugbear mercenary patrols the outer walls of the keep.

The bugbear looks alright. The model is from Lost Adventures Co. Again, the armor pieces are too bright in the picture. I tried a homemade wash that looks like it needs some work. I’ll have to add some more ink to it.

Keep on gaming!
