Over the weekend, I was working on printing out some ruined walls for my UDT terrain. They were about 80-90% complete when we had a very short power outage. Unfortunately, if you are printing using OctoPrint the printer doesn’t know where you left off so the Power Recovery feature of the Ender 3 Pro doesn’t work. (It apparently is only good from the SD card).

Not wanting to waste these pieces, I thought of a way to try to save them. If it worked, I saved myself from printing them over (about a 16-hour print), I decided to try to add some small rocks and sand using Tacky Glue to the prints to see how good they looked.

Satisfied with the results to this point, I went ahead and added the rocks and sand to all of the pieces. Once they dried, I primed them gray then did a wash with some drybrushing. Here is the end result:

They look good enough to put on the table. My only concern is the rocks and sand breaking off the terrain if I am not careful in the storage/handling of the walls. I put several coats of a matte clear coat on them to try to prevent this from happening.
Keep on gaming!
