Superhero Saturday

03/12/2022

Time for another Superhero Saturday! Today’s episode will be creating an Energy Controller!

For the Abilities section, we roll a 2, so our hero is Charismatic. We add those ability scores to the character sheet and we reach 34/150PP.

Under Advantages, we are told to roll twice and get a 12 (Hidden Reserve) and a 19 (wisecracker). That puts us at 38/150PP.

The Skills section gives us some automatic skills plus we need to roll 2 times on the table. We roll a 6 (Cool) and a 14 (Popular). That gives us 52/150PP used. This hero feels like a Human Torch so far…

Under the Powers Section, we start with Offensive Powers. We roll a 17 which gives us a 25PP to start an array plus 3 alternates. We roll 4 times on the table, once for the first power. 3 more times for alternate effects. We get 6 (Homing Blast), 9 (Invisible Blast), 13 (Pinpoint Blast), 15 (Proxy Blast). We add those to the character and end with 80/150PP.

For Defensive Powers, we automatically get Immunity to our Energy Type. We should decide on that now. There is a table with different types so we roll on that. We get an 18, so our hero controls plasma! We then roll on the table and get a 6, Energy Shield! Adding this takes us to 105/150PP used.

For the Utility Powers, we get Energy Sense for free (the hero can sense Plasma) plus we roll twice on the table. We roll a 4 (Energy Aura) and 10 (Flight). We add those to the character sheet and reach 134/150PP.

We add in the Defenses and we reach 150/150PP!

For complications, we add Temper (Hot-headed, get it?) and Accident (The hero’s power might have caused an accident in the past).

We look for a nice piece of artwork on the Internet and find our hero!

We give her the name Solarflare!

She looks like a popular high school girl (maybe a cheerleader or something like that) that is a mutant that can generate plasma. She can create a plasma shield and even surround herself with plasma! She might have caused some accidents when her power first manifested but now she has better control and fights for the good guys. She likes to mock and tease the enemies during a fight (like any good teenager would).

Keep on gaming!
