To start out the adventure, we are going to need some information about what is going on so we start filling out the Adventure Creator sheet from Covetous Poet. After a lot of rolls, here is where we stand:

PLOT:

Adventure Type: Powerful Item – Opposing forces clash over possession of some important artifact, weapon, or technological breakthrough.

Opposition: Mastermind Super Villain

Motivation: Resources or Harm Enemies

Theme: Betrayal

Plot Device: Heroes for Hire – The PCs are hired by government authorities or some corporate powers to fix some problem for them.

Plot Device: I’ll Be President Luther Soon! – This adventure features an NPC who runs a powerful organization such as a mega-corporation or foreign dictatorship.

Action+ Thing: Oppose Intellectual

BACKGROUND:

IDEAS:

Taking the information above, we need to start piecing it together to form something interesting. Since I just posted them out recently, Serpent Pharoah and the Serpent Circle seem to fit perfectly into the opposition slot. For the powerful item, I will say it is an ancient artifact that the Serpent Pharoah used in the past to conquer nations and he is looking for it again to attack his enemies and regain his empire. We name it the Goblet of Annihilation. (Sounds like something used by the ancient to conquer others).

It appears that someone is recruiting the heroes to stop the Serpent Circle. Using I’ll Be President Luther Soon! and Death or Lost to come up with the new heir of a foreign country is asking for help. Since it involves the Serpent Pharoah and his past empire, we will make it a Middle Eastern country, giving it the name Resaba. We throw in the Begin Women to say that the King’s only heir is his daughter, Rehema Hadad, and Lies or Lack of Money means that Resaba is a poor mountainous landlocked country without many natural resources.

The betrayal can come from some of the locals plus a few of the generals in Resaba’s army. They might be old-fashioned and not accepting of a female ruler (it is the Middle East). They might be changing alliance to join the Serpent Pharoah, a strong Male ruler who used to reign over this region of the world centuries ago. This is personal can come from the new Queen being friends with one of the Battle League members, maybe Corporal Canada (went to college together?)

For the first action scene, we will use the Guard Motorcycle and Location: Speech / Ceremony. Queen Hadad will ask Corporal Canada and the Battle League to help guard the motorcade for her royal coronation since she doesn’t trust most of her own people.

That sounds like a good starting point. I will use this information to start a solo play game and post my notes on this site. The rest of the information from PLOT and BACKGROUND will be saved on the side to be brought in where it feels appropriate.
