#HobbyWeek 12

12/26/2021

Another week goes by but the streak lives on! These #HobbyWeek postings are my reinforcement to keep me producing for my hobbies. It is like having a partner keeping you on your gym routine or diet. Having accountability makes it harder to give up.

Here are some pictures of the stuff I got completed this week for my hobbies!

Here are the miniatures that I got painted this week. There is the Dire Weasel from the Bones 5 Kickstarter. A Mage knight guy with a gun that I rebased then touched up the paint job. The scuba helmet guy came with a board game (either Iron Kingdoms or Rum and Bones), and I finally finished the displacer beast. He will sit on my shelf since I don’t want to break off the tentacles.

I finished painting the Wolverine bust that I am going to take to work to put at my desk. I had to use yellow spray paint to get the coverage that I wanted.

I finished the Stitch phone holder that I made for my daughter. I sprayed it with a Matte clearcoat after I took this picture to reduce the shine.

What a hunk of junk!

I finished the Millenium Falcon for my daughter’s fiancee. He liked it a lot. We also got my daughter and him a D&D 5E Player’s Handbook and 2 sets of dice each. He is really excited to join our weekly home game that starts back up after the 1st of the year.

Not really a hobby craft but I took 3 hours to assemble my wife’s treadmill that she got for Christmas. She really likes to walk and living in Ohio means you can’t do that outside about 5 months a year between snow and rain. I got a chance to use all of the wrenches and tools that I have gotten for Christmas over the years.

I printed and assembled the cable chains for my Ender 3. This helps keep the cables out of the way with no chance of getting pinched.

I also replaced the bed springs and turn knobs on my Ender 3 as well. The new gold springs and red knobs make the bed level more stable and secure. I am printing a new Benchy so I can see what all of the upgrades have done to my 3D prints. While I had it apart, I cleaned it and lubed the Z-axis screw. I made sure the belts were tight and everything was neat. It should be good for a while.

Keep on gaming!
