I thought I would start a new series on what is on my crafting table that I would update on Tuesdays (why should tacos have all of the fun).

This week has a lot of True Tiles on the table for my new Warlock’s Abode one-shot adventure. They are turning out pretty well but I did have an issue with the water pool on the left side. I had placed a clear piece of plastic in the bottom of the well then filled the well with a 2-part epoxy with blue paint added. I wanted the water to be about 1/2 of the well.
The heat from the epoxy curing caused the plastic to shift and move. Part of it came almost the whole way to the top. In order to save this piece, I had to add more epoxy to fill in the gap. It looks ok, but it isn’t what I wanted. I might go back and make another well and do it right this time.

There are also some scatter pieces on the table that are in the painting process. I made a couple of beds and a bookcase for the bed chambers. I also have started to come up with some ideas for the adventure. I think I am going to include some items in the chamber about the Patron of the warlock. I was thinking of using my wife’s old warlock of Guanadaur as the previous master of this dungeon. I am going to paint that ravenous slime as a statue of Guanadaur and place it in the temple area.

I also printed out a couple of slime spirits that I might include in the adventure. I have printed out the fireplace that will be included in the dungeon. I have 9 more True Tiles to prime and paint then the floors are done.

There are always a few random miniatures that I have on the table at any given time. When I need a break from painting and building terrain, I paint people. I have a beastman and a few lizard warriors that I might try to build up into an Age of Fantasy Skirmish army. In the back are a modern soldier (yes, an army man from a $1 bag of soldiers from Dollar Tree) as well as a resin female warrior and a crossbowman. I have no use for the soldier right now and the others will end up in the collection at some point (I might have to bust all of the miniatures out for a photoshoot). I am not a great painter by any means but I like to do it and it does make them look better on the table to have some color on them.
Keep on gaming!
