Twilight 2000

10/29/2021

Today, I received the materials for the Twilight 2000 Kickstarter that I backed. When I saw the Kickstarter, I backed it for nostalgia reasons: I had bought the game many, many years ago (1990) but I had never played it. It was something that I read and enjoyed the idea. I had made some characters but never did anything with them.

I opened the packing box and found a wonderful cardboard box inside. I thought it was going to be a flismy, cereal box style box like most things come in these days, but it was a solid box. Reminds me of the boxes you used to get back in the day when you purchased a starter set. It is board game quality. VERY NICE!

All of the materials in the box are VERY well done as well. The maps feel like they are made to be used and not fall apart. The books are beautiful and feel nice to hold. The artwork is good.

I had received the pdfs of all of the material before, but I really like having the stuff in my hand. It even comes with small cardboard punch-out tokens like other games used to use back in my gaming past.

I am very impressed with the game materials and care that was taken to produce a terrific product. If you are looking for another modern TTRPG to play, I would suggest you look at Free League Publishing and Twilight 2000.

Keep on gaming!
