It has been a long 2 years. When everything started going into lockdowns, I got a second job at a local dollar store to make sure my family would have access to products. The plan was to work there for 3 to 4 months just to get through the early stages of the pandemic. 18 months later, I finally quit and got back some free time in my life.
I had been doing some 3D printing during this time as well as making terrain but those things happened very infrequently. Over the weekend, I sat down and just painted miniatures for a few hours. I had forgotten how much I enjoy the process even if I am not the greatest painter. I like being able to put down a miniature on the game table that isn’t a solid gray piece of plastic, something that looks like the actual creature as I describe it.
So, I am going back to a few years ago when I tried to have something to show every week that has to do with crafting: painting miniatures, making terrain, etc. I had seen the Crafts and Minis YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/CraftsAndMinis) and he had been doing if for some time. It seemed like the kind of motivation that I needed to keep plowing through my box of shame. He did simple paint schemes and multiple copies of the same miniatures but he got a LOT of stuff done each week.
So, here is the 1st installment of #HobbyWeek. I was able to finish a basilisk from the Bones 5 kickstarter (I think) as well as some 3D printed skeletons and a female fighter as well as a local militia looking guy.

I have also been working on a complete dungeon with Dungeon tiles, scatter terrain, and monsters that I will use for One Shots… stay tuned for that. I also have a group of PC miniatures that go with some pre-generated characters!
Keep on gaming!
