I sat down and went through the steps for my new campaign:

The Vencarlo Campaign

Starting Credits: 36

Patrons:

Patience, the Cult Leader (Zachary)

Jason, OUP Corporation official (Chet)

Rivals:

Tik, a K’Erin that took part in the raid that killed Chet’s family.

Campaign Turn 1

Step 1: Travel Phase (skipped this round since new campaign)

Step 2: World Phase

  1. Upkeep and ship repairs
    1. Brandis pays 1 credit for crew upkeep (35 credits left) and 2 credits (33 credits left) on the debt of the ship (20 credit debt left).
    2. Sells water from the purifier for 1 credit (34 credits left).
  2. Assign and Resolve Crew Tasks
    1. Brandis and Bea will Find a Patron. D6+4 = 2+4=6. Two Jobs are offered.
    2. Mark will Trade. D100 = 62. Mark will acquire a shotgun in the trade.
    3. Chet and Zachary will Explore.
      1. Chet rolls D100 = 30 Alien Merchant. Chet trades his blade for Loot roll. Plasma Rifle!
      2. Zachary rolls D100 = 79 Just needs a little love. Zachary finds a damaged battle visor.
    4. Bot will stay with the Vencarlo.
  3. Determine Job Offers
    1. 1st Job is from current patron. (Jason with OUP, +1 to Danger Pay roll)
      1. Danger Pay: +3 credits
      2. Time Frame: This or Next Campaign Turn (Turn 1 or 2)
      3. Benefits? Yes (Fringe Benefit: Health Boost Implant)
      4. Hazards? No
      5. Conditions? Yes, Vengeful (If fail mission, Patron becomes a Rival)
    2. 2nd Job is from a new Patron. (Corporation (Ms. Janis), +1 to Danger Pay roll)
      1. Danger Pay: +2 Credits
      2. Time Frame: This Campaign Turn (Turn 1)
      3. Benefits? Yes, Company Store: Local Maps (if quest this planet, add 1 rumor)
      4. Hazards? No
      5. Conditions? One Time Contact
  4. Assign Equipment
    1. Equipment is assigned. Mark will keep the new Shotgun for this mission. Chet leaves the plasma rifle for now.
  5. Resolve Rumors
    1. D6 = 5. No Quest
  6. Choose Your Battle
    1. Rival? D6 = 6. No rivals interfere this mission.
    2. Brandis decides to do the new Contact’s mission since it is due this turn.

Looks like laboratory test animals escaped and are now a threat to the outpost. There are going to be 6 lizards at need to be driven off or killed. (Driving off the lizards should kill them since there is no atmosphere on the planet).

Battle Terrain Setup:

Since this is an outpost, I will setup a 2ftx2ft battle board. I need 2 Large, 4 Small, and 2 Linear terrain pieces. I will set up a small area under the outpost, like a warehouse or something. The Beast AI means that the lizards will start in pairs on one side of the map. The Vencarlo crew will setup on the other.

That’s it for now. I will run the battle and post the report on here in the next day or so.
